Happy Birthday! 12 Years in business!

Laura Murray Jewellery opened on the 1st September 2000. In the last 12 years Laura has developed her jewellery collection and one off pieces.

She has exhibited nationally and internationally at 'The New York International Gift Fair', 'The Scottish Show' in Milan, USF Verfet in Bergen, at 'The Cutting Edge' exhibition at Aberdeen Art Gallery, The National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, The Dick Institute in Killmarnock and at The Villa Concordia, Bamberg.

She has been awarded 'Maker in Residence' in Moray, Ayrshire and Lanarkshire and taught design projects in schools, workshops at the Scotland Street School Museum and as part of Glasgow's 'Inspirations' young peoples festival.

Laura's work at Glasgow School Of Art

Laura's jewellery has been selected to be part of the Glasgow School of Art Collection, which showcases graduates of Glasgow School of Art in their shop.




Teaching in the studio:

Would you like to learn jewellery making in Laura's studio? Small groups and individuals welcome.

There are two types of classes both aimed at beginners.

Learning to solder:

Laura will introduce you to a variety of jewellery skills. You will learn how to cut, form, solder and construct silver and other metals to create wearable jewellery pieces. Tools provided, buy your own silver.

Work with beads and wire:

Aimed at beginners Laura will introduce you to many wire techniques. You will work with plier's coloured enamelled and silver plated wires and lots of fun beads to create original jewellery.
